Vanilla Mint Cooling Cream

Whipped cupuaçu butter and kokum butter combine to make this luxuriously thick, heavy-duty cooling muscle cream. Vanilla essential oil brings a candy-like sweetness to the otherwise minty scent. Japanese peppermint essential oil is what creates the cooling sensation, which is great for uplifting and rejuvenating tired muscles on areas such as your back, feet, or legs.

Cupuaçu, also known as the vegetable lanolin, is a close cousin to the cacao plant, but cupuaçu butter is softer. Be prepared to embrace the fruity-chocolate scent of this beautiful virgin butter (which retains more of the plant’s properties than the refined variety). It has a very high water absorption capacity, over 200% greater than lanolin. Due to its capacity for water absorption and the ability to obstruct the evaporation of moisture from the skin, cupuaçu butter can restore the skin’s natural humidity and elasticity. It contains phytosterols that exert anti-inflammatory action in the skin by acting as free radical scavengers, essential fatty acids omegas 3 and 6, the antioxidant vitamins C and A, and a high amount of phosphorus. Also naturally contains palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, arachidic acid, and behenic acid.

Kokum butter is derived from the Garcinia tree. This naturally white butter is often used as a substitute for cocoa butter due to its uniform triglyceride composition. Leaves behind a supple feeling after it melts into the skin.

The periwinkle colouring of this product won’t stain, and is achieved naturally through the use of butterfly pea powder. Butterfly pea is doubling as an active ingredient in this formula: it has a high concentration of naturally occurring polyphenols as well as the flavonoid proanthocyanidin, which is a potent antioxidant that stimulates the natural production of collagen and elastin.

For use on feet, get best results by lavishing over clean feet, then placing socks overtop. Because this is an intensive double-butter lotion it may take a while to soak in and it may be slippery to walk barefoot before full absorption.
